Traditional Healers & Firekeeper

The Traditional program is the heart of Noojmowin Teg Health Centre. The program is what integrally ensures that the programs and services provided by the organization are culturally safe and culturally relevant. Healers work with the organization providing monthly traditional healing sessions available through self-referrals as well as practitioner referrals.

Noojmowin Teg Health Centre currently has a Firekeeper available once a month to provide a sacred fire available to all, as well as a traditional teaching and welcomes the opportunity for quiet reflection and/or guidance.

Services provided through Traditional Healer & Firekeeper include:

• Traditional teachings, ceremonies and healing/talking circles
• Energy Work
• Supportive counselling
• Consultation and protocol teachings
