Wheelchairs at Noojmowin Teg Health Centre

At all Noojmowin Teg Health Centre locations, we ensure wheelchair accessibility to facilitate seamless access and mobility for individuals with physical disabilities.

Accessible Parking

We offer designated accessible parking spaces equipped to accommodate individuals with disabilities, ensuring convenient and barrier-free access to our facilities.

Centre Accessibility Features

At Noojmowin Teg, doors at the main entrance have automatic have push button openers and are accessible by wheelchair or scooter. Accessible washrooms with push button openers are available inside our centre.

Communication Aides

All clients are encouraged to bring their communication aides from home. Our centre offers Ojibwa translators upon request and to ensure effective communication.

Accessible Formats and Communication Supports

Website

Starting from 2014, all newly developed internet websites and web content adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Level A standards, and thus complies with the Information and Communications Standards under the AODA with the exception of live captioning and pre-recorded audio description.
